Out for season
Clarkson has been in and out of Utah's lineup over the last two months, which led to the team shutting him down for the rest of the 2024-25 season following a procedure on his injured foot. In 37 games played, the veteran guard averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting a career-low 40.8 percent from the floor and 36.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Ruled out for Thursday
Markkanen will miss a fifth straight game Thursday for the Jazz due to returning to competition reconditioning. Utah will likely continue to lean on KJ Martin and Brice Sensabaugh in the frontcourt with the veteran star out.

Out again Thursday
Clarkson will miss a second consecutive game, as he's been ruled out for the first leg of Utah's back-to-back set Thursday. His absence should open up more opportunities for Johnny Juzang and Brice Sensabaugh.

Makes brief appearance Tuesday
After a recent four-game absence due to a back injury, Springer has been available for both of the Jazz's last two contests, but he's barely seen any run in blowout losses to the Cavaliers and Grizzlies. He didn't check back into the contest after playing the final 11 seconds of the first quarter Tuesday, and he made just a three-second appearance Sunday against Cleveland. The Jazz listed four players out for Tuesday's contest and had two others assigned to the G League, but it looks like the team will be have to be missing another player or two before he cracks the rotation.

UTA
Logs 13 points in loss
Although Filipowski has been effective amid John Collins' (ankle) absence, he turned in a tepid line during a hapless performance by the team. The rookie is a critical part of Utah's future plans, so he'll get every opportunity to produce as the team languishes through the rest of the schedule.
