Won't go Wednesday
Hood-Schifino will remain on the shelf after the Jazz acquired him via trade Saturday. The 21-year-old hasn't played at the NBA level since Dec. 1 due to a left hamstring strain, though the fact he is not listed on the injury report with the hamstring injury suggests that he could return to action as soon as Friday's matchup against the Suns.

Out at least a week
Sexton played just three minutes Monday before suffering his left ankle sprain. Keyonte George and Jordan Clarkson are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. While Sexton could return to action sometime next week, it wouldn't be surprising for him to sit out through the All-Star break.

Iffy for Wednesday
After some subpar performances, Markkanen could be watching from the bench Wednesday while the Jazz host the Warriors in Utah. The star forward continues to manage a lower back injury, which could pave the way for more time on the floor for Brice Sensabaugh and Johnny Juzang against Golden State.

Teases triple-double against Pacers
The shift to the second unit hasn't impacted George's production much, as he came with two boards of his first career triple-double Monday. The second-year guard is averaging 14.3 points, 6.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 threes in six games since moving to the bench, but he's also shooting just 37.7 percent from the floor and 25.0 percent from beyond the arc. Isaiah Collier has provided both more efficient offense and more consistent distribution since taking over as the starting point guard, and he doesn't seem likely to lose his hold on the job. The ankle injury Collin Sexton suffered Monday could open the door for George to move back into the starting five, however.

Pops for 21 in Monday's loss
The veteran guard played more than 25 minutes for the first time in four appearances since returning from a foot issue that cost Clarkson most of January, and he turned the increased workload into his best scoring effort since he hung 25 points on the Knicks on Jan. 1. Collin Sexton sprained his ankle early Monday and never returned to the court, but it's not clear yet if Utah will shift Clarkson into the starting five should Sexton face a prolonged absence, or if he'll continue to anchor the second unit.
