Out Tuesday with ankle sprain
Mitchell sustained the injury during Sunday's 120-113 win over the Kings, though he was able to check back into the game following a brief exit. The severity of the sprain isn't known, but even if it's just a minor concern, the Cavaliers won't take any chances with the star guard Tuesday while the team needs just one win over its final four games of the regular season to clinch the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed. His absence Tuesday could lead to elevated usage for Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen and increased playing time for Ty Jerome, Sam Merrill and Craig Porter.

Questionable to face San Antonio
Jerome contributed 25 points during Tuesday's 122-111 victory over the Trail Blazers, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to build off that game. Even if he's available, he's the backup point guard behind Darius Garland, and with Donovan Mitchell (groin) also set to return, Jerome's playing time will be minimal, reducing his fantasy appeal considerably.

Absent once again
Tyson will miss the first leg of this back-to-back set, and given that this will be his fourth consecutive absence, it wouldn't be surprising if he's also sidelined for the matchup against the Pistons on Friday. That said, the 22-year-old has received little playing time of late, so his absence won't generate too much of an issue in the Cavaliers' rotation.

Removed from injury report
Mitchell will return to the floor Thursday after missing Tuesday's win against the Trail Blazers. The star guard is averaging 23.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 44.0 percent from the floor and 36.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Resting Thursday against Spurs
Thursday marks the first game of a back-to-back set for the Cavaliers. Mobley will be sidelined while resting through lingering lower body injuries that he has dealt with since the All-Star break, but he should take to the floor against the Pistons on Friday. De'Andre Hunter and Dean Wade are the top candidates to enter the Cavaliers' starting lineup in Mobley's absence.
