Another G League double-double

Tuesday marked Johnson's second double-double for the Skyforce. Even though he shot relatively poorly in all facets, his sheer volume of shots helped him easily log double-digit points. Now 0-4 in the G League, Wisconsin's team continues to struggle to make shots, making it all the easier for Johnson to rack up double digits in rebounds as well.

Scores 25 in G League

Christopher has been a scoring machine in G League action, having logged more than 20 points thrice in five games the Skyforce have played this season. In his three performances with 20-plus performances, his three-point shooting left a lot to be desired. So if Christopher can get that fixed, he can be more of an affluent scorer than he already has been.

Miami were very shorthanded for this contest, and Burks made the most of the handful of minutes he received. Miami is off until Nov. 24 against Dallas, but it remains to be seen if Terry Rozier (foot) and Jaime Jaquez (ankle) will be ready for that contest.

Big night on glass

The veteran center led all rebounders on the night, and the 13 boards were one short of Adebayo's season high. The five points were also a season low however, as the Heat's other stars deferred to a returning Jimmy Butler. Through 13 contests, Adebayo is averaging 16.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.2 blocks and a surprising 0.8 threes on 31.3 percent shooting from long distance. The extra volume from beyond the arc is cutting into his FG%, which sits at a career-low 42.6 percent, but most of that decline is due to tough luck on short-range attempts that should improve as the season progresses.

Jimmy Butler returned from a four-game absence to lead Miami to victory, with Herro supplying some secondary offense. It's the first time since Nov. 2 that the 24-year-old guard has failed to score at least 20 points, but Herro hasn't slowed down from beyond the arc -- he's drained multiple three-pointers in 12 straight appearances to begin the campaign and is shooting 45.2 percent from long distance on a career-high 9.7 attempts a game, leading to personal bests of 24.2 points and 4.4 threes a contest.
